Abbot William Welcomes You to Alton Abbey

Abbot William welcomes you to Alton AbbeyAll who arrive as guests are to be welcomed like Christ, for he is going to say: "I was a stranger and you welcomed me".

Rule of St Benedict 53.1 +

Alton Abbey is an AnglicanBenedictine Monastery in the beautiful Hampshire village of Beech, just outside Alton. It has been described by Ruth Gledhill of The Times as "the best-kept secret in the Church of England" and "the place to go when you need six weeks holiday but can only spare a day".
