Monks

There are currently six permanent members of the Community, one Novice and one Postulant.

Companions

The Abbot and Community established the fellowship of the Companions of Our Lady and Saint John in order to affirm the prayerful contribution made to the life of Alton Abbey by those who worship with the monastic family.

Oblates

From now on you are spiritually affiliated to the monastic family of the Monastery of Our Lady and Saint John

Friends

There is a continual need for improved facilities for both the Community and its many visitors. To this end the "Friends of Alton Abbey" was established in 1980 with the object of raising funds to support the Abbey’s charitable work.
